Today we moved from our AirBnB in the suburbs to a hotel downtown. We thought it was a great move being in downtown Denver, however we were so more than wrong. This may seem obvious, but we learned 2 important things. 1) if you’re visiting Colorado, stay in either Boulder or Golden, or somewhere cool and close to scenic sights. 2) rent a car.

Daytime was pretty low-key. We spent a good chunk of time at the Denver Zoo! It was super cool, but again it was no St. Louis. Something about paying a $25 admission fee just takes the magic way. It was still really neat though. There was an Ostrich, Rusty, who actually knew his own name. There was a free roam Wallaby section, and the day we went was the day it opened! We also fed sting rays which was actually really cool. I didn’t realize they had actual mouths that OPENED, so it kind of freaked me out haha.

During the evening I took Andrew to a ping-pong restaurant! It was quite fun. From 9pm-12am you could play unlimited ping-pong for $5. Here I learned 2 additional things: 1) ping-pong is for men in their mid-30s to take women on first dates so they can teach their dates how to play, and 2) Andrew is not very good at the sport.
